Overskill pricing: plans, credits and what sits outside them

How Overskill pricing is built: two plans, a monthly credit allowance, billing choices and the costs that sit outside the plan, from Overskill's own pages.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-18

Quick answerOverskill sells two plans, Starter and Studio, each with a monthly credit allowance. The credits you use, not the plan, move the bill, and plan credits expire each month. This page lists plan terms, not dollar amounts.
Overskill is likely to fit when

✓ Non-developers with one defined business tool to build

✓ Owners who want credits explained before they pay

✓ Buyers who want a ZIP of their code and data

✓ Teams that can budget for a paid plan from month one

Important limitations

— Readers who need a free plan

— Store-listed iPhone or Android apps

— Fixed project quotes (an agency fits better)

— Healthcare, financial or legal apps without expert review

Overskill pricing: the two plans and what each includes

Overskill pricing comes down to two plans and a credit meter. The pricing page lists Starter and Studio, with a toggle between monthly and annual billing.

  • Starter: 2,500 credits a month, one concurrent generation, one custom domain per app, the Overskill Lite model, private projects, no watermark and email support.
  • Studio: 12,000 credits a month, four concurrent generations, five custom domains per app, frontier models plus the Overskill Max model, full version history and priority support.
  • Both plans: code and data export as a ZIP, 50 GB of database storage, 100 GB of file storage, up to 10 GB per app database and unlimited bandwidth.
  • GitHub sync is marked as rolling out on both plans.

Fees and add-ons: what a credit pays for and what costs extra

Credits pay for AI work, meaning generating or changing an app. Overskill says a typical change uses 400 to 1,500 credits, with most near 700, and a fresh build from a description usually uses 2,000 to 8,000. You see an estimate before any big change runs.

Credits also run inside the finished app. An email costs 0.1 credits per accepted send, a connected-service call costs about 0.5 credits, and voice, sound effects and music are charged per character or per second. A scheduled run itself is free. Items that sit outside the plan allowance:

  • Extra credits: a one-time pack or a plan change when the balance reaches zero. Generation pauses at zero.
  • Storage past the included amounts, billed from your credits.
  • Customer payments, which run on Whop at Whop's published rates.
  • Connected-service charges and payment processing fees, which the pricing page says to budget for separately.

Credit expiry and refunds: which credits you keep

Plan credits refill every month and do not carry over. Credit packs never expire, they carry over, and Overskill spends plan credits first. Under the terms, purchased credits are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Credits spent on a generation that errors or needs a redo are not refunded either, because the terms treat iteration as normal work. Overskill may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Total cost when you switch, upgrade or cancel

Annual billing is a choice on the pricing page, and you are billed once for the year. Plan changes apply immediately: you are charged the new plan in full that day, the old plan is canceled for you, and the days left on it are not refunded.

Canceling stops renewals. You keep paid access until the end of the billing period, your published apps stay online and your data is not deleted. There is no free plan to fall back to, although every new account starts with 500 credits.

Plan value: a worked credit budget

Take Overskill's own typical figures. A Starter month holds 2,500 credits. A fresh build at the low end, 2,000 credits, leaves 500. That covers one change at the bottom of the 400 to 1,500 range, but not one at the typical 700. A build at the top of the range, 8,000 credits, is more than three months of Starter allowance, and because plan credits do not carry over, the months cannot be saved up for it: the gap would come from a credit pack or a plan change.

A Studio month holds 12,000 credits. An 8,000-credit build leaves 4,000, enough for five typical changes of 700 with 500 left over, and that remainder expires at month end. These are Overskill's typical figures, not measurements of any one app.

The full cost guide adds the pieces outside the plan, and the Overskill review covers fit and limits. App Cost Desk has not used Overskill; every figure here was read from its pages on October 18, 2026.
