Use the guide well
What matters before the feature list.
These field notes explain the product, workflow, and tradeoffs that can change the decision.
Field noteWho App Cost Desk is for
App Cost Desk is an independent guide for owners of small businesses, services and side projects who are not developers and want to turn one repeatable job, such as a client portal, a quote tool or a booking flow, into a working web app with plain-language prompts. Every plan fact on this site was read from the builders' own pages on October 18, 2026, and the site has not used these builders. Start with what Overskill is or go straight to the shortlist for non-coders.
Field noteWhere Overskill fits and where it does not
Overskill builds web apps from a description and charges in credits from a monthly allowance. Its pages list no free plan, and its home page presents access as an invite-only beta with a request form, while its pricing page lets a visitor choose a plan and check out. That makes it a fit for one defined business tool and a poor fit for a store-listed phone app or a free trial run. The Overskill review sets out the limits, and the Lovable comparison names who should pick the other builder.
Field noteCompare builders by how they meter cost
The meter behind a plan matters more than its name. Overskill and Lovable count credits, Base44 splits message and integration credits, Bolt counts tokens, and Replit plans pair agent chat hours with model credits. Revisions, failed attempts, hosting traffic and connected services decide how fast an allowance runs out. The cost guide breaks the bill into plan, usage and outside services, and the pricing breakdown applies that to Overskill's two plans.
Field noteWhat this site will not tell you
These guides name plans and count credits, but they list no dollar prices. The site publishes no ratings, scores or earnings figures, because it has none, and no builder can promise that your app will succeed. Plans, credit rules and access terms change, so each guide shows the date it was read and links the pages it used.
